Episode 14

Terry Hodges-Without Flames, It's Lame

Published on: 25th January, 2025

They say never meet your heroes but when Terry Hodges asked his to throw him a drum stick as he waited patiently at the edge of the stage during Quiet Riot's set, it happened. Frankie Banali gave Terry a drum stick and was forever solidified the drumming hero in Terry's life.

Starting with 5 gallon buckets in the barn to stuffing his kit in the Trans Am and 30 plus years later in one of the area's most dynamic bands, Neon Nova. And for some reason this drummer showed up with a Bullethead, cigar box guitar. At 33:32 in the podcast, Terry shows why he brought it.

It's been quite an adventure so far for Terry, from stealing pizza from Firehouse, chicken alfredo with Lita Ford, meeting smelly Tommy Lee or playing live at the Mark Of The Quad Cities with his one time juggernaut band, Drophammer. The adventure continues. Thanks for listening to episode 14 with our friend, Terry Hodges.
